Detainee Information

Survivor Testimonies

The Guantánamo Bay detention facility is not only a geopolitical and legal crisis—it is a human one. Behind every case number, every classified file, and every diplomatic communiqué is a person: a son, a husband, a student, a professional. Many of these men were detained without charge, subjected to cruel treatment, and held in legal limbo for years.

This section is dedicated to the voices of those who survived. Through their testimonies—raw, painful, and courageous—we gain a deeper understanding of what Guantánamo has meant not just legally or politically, but emotionally and morally. These are not anonymous victims, but men with names, families, aspirations, and memories that the world must not forget.

We will continue to add new voices and reflections as former detainees contribute their written testimonies. If you are a survivor and would like to share your story, please contact us.
